Sew Convenient was started by Derante Azonobi in 2021. Derante had a desire to learn how to sew at an early age. He grew up watching his mom sew clothes as a hobby. It wasn’t until he joined the U.S. Army that he turned his desire into a hobby. Derante learned sewing alteration and repairs on military clothing and equipment. After retiring from the military, Derante took a year-long trip to Africa. This is where he would take his skill and desire to learn sewing to a new level. He spent 12 to 15 hours a day 6 days a week working on his skills and techniques. In Africa he studied and became an apprentice to skilled veteran seamstresses and tailors. Derante specializes in made to your measurements women’s men’s, boys, suits and blazers but can sew just about anything with skill and precision.
